Members of Universitas 21 institutions are able
to make applications to the U21 board for
support for projects which are compatible with
U21's strategic direction, as set out in
the
Strategic Plan.
Those who wish to make an
application are advised to read the guidelines
carefully before submitting the necessary
forms. Forms can be downloaded as either a word
document or pdf by clicking on the links below,
along with the guidelines.
1. This
application process only relates to projects either funded centrally by
Universitas 21 or, alternatively, those which carry the imprimatur or badge
of the network but no funding.
2
It is important that applications give
Universitas 21 full and necessary
information to enable the Managers to easily
locate the necessary information to underpin
consideration of the application.
3.
A two stage process is in place to allow for an
‘in principle’ or prima facie decision to
be taken , which will trigger a fully costed
proposal to be confirmed at a second meeting of
Managers.
4.
Universitas 21
will not be able to fund the time of existing
staff engaged on the project but will consider
funding travel to facilitate collaboration,
consumables, accommodation, workshop expenses,
short-term temporary staffing, limited
publication costs to facilitate dissemination
around the network (though the use of electronic
or web based dissemination is encouraged).
University overheads are not able to be
covered from Universitas 21 sources,
which exist to encourage collaborative working
rather than to defray the costs of an individual
member University.
