Student Experience Manager - vacancy!
Universitas 21's new strategic direction identifies five key areas of activity based on our vision for network collaboration. Central to this are activities in support of enhancing student experiences to deliver opportunities to enhance student learning and develop global citizens. So far, this has concentrated on increasing opportunities for mobility, principally at the undergraduate level.
Since 2005, over 135,000 students have been on exchange around the network. This is a phenomenal achievement and tribute should be paid to all those involved in student mobility around our institutions who work collaboratively to overcome barriers creatively and open up these opportunities to our students. The network now aims to take this work to the next level.
This new role will enable an enthusiastic and innovative professional to develop new programmes of activity and contribute to learning experiences across our member institutions. To achieve this, the successful candidate will have to work closely with colleagues around the world, enthusing them about possibilities and working collaboratively with them to overcome barriers to innovation, ensuring that best practice is shared within the network. You will need to exercise judgement about when to proceed with a coalition of the willing and when the active involvement of all members is needed, bearing in mind the different experiences and expertise between members.
This post will be a member of the Universitas 21 Secretariat team, currently led by the Secretary General who is based in Birmingham. The Secretariat team is based in three different continents so sensitivity to the importance of clear, accurate and timely communication is an everyday reality of this role.
The role (job description below) is varied and interesting, giving the successful candidate the chance to develop a strong portfolio and a global reputation.
