U21 institutions flying high in THE Subject Rankings - Social Sciences, Law, Education and Business
It is the first time law and education have been included in the THE World University Subject Rankings.
Demonstrating a strong global presence in international higher education, the following U21 institutions featured in these rankings:
In Social Sciences, the University of Amsterdam made the top 20, climbing six places to 20th.
The National University of Singapore has jumped 16 places to 21st and the University of Hong Kong has moved into 30th after moving up one place.
In schools of Law, the University of Melbourne came in 7th, while the University of Edinburgh came in 14th, the University of British Columbia at 16th, the University of Hong Kong at 18th, the University of Amsterdam at 23rd, and the National University of Singapore at 30th.
In Education, the University of Hong Kong came in fourth, which the THE attributed to HKU’s very high score in research. The University of British Columbia came in at 13th.
Within schools of Business and Economics, the National University of Singapore scored 16th place and the University of British Columbia came in at 19th.
These results clearly demonstrate the benefit of interdisciplinary research and teaching – two of the core areas of collaboration among U21 member universities. Congratulations to all!
