A workshop for early career reserachers on international collaboration and networking.

A key area of work for the U21 network is the development of Early Career Researchers across our institutions. This workshop, led by Dr Gemma Marakas, Researcher Development Manager for U21 will cover a number of important areas for ECRs to consider at the start of their academic careers.  These include:

  • Challenges/barriers faced by Early Careers Researchers
  • Why collaborate with international partners?
  • Funding joint research & mobility
  • Research Visits
  • Conferences
  • Maintaining healthy communications


The two-hour workshop will take place at 3pm in the Alwyn Williams Level 5.


This session is open to early career researchers (anyone within 8 years of their PhD) from any subject area.
