The fifth Educational Innovation Conference will take place from 31 October - 1 November 2013, at University College Dublin.

With a theme of Teaching and Learning in the Digital Age - Opportunities and Challenges for U21, the Conference will focus on contemporary challenges and opportunities posed by the rapid pace of change in digital technologies and online learning in higher education. Specific 'outcomes' will be set for the event, with the aim of identifying key common challenges and opportunities across the U21 sector.

The Conference also intends to provide opportunities to showcase new digital initiatives taking place across the U21 institutions, and to set up 'mini-networks' where delegates can forge new cross-institutional links to foster best practice and share ideas and resources on online and blended learning. Materials will be provided to delegates prior to the event, outlining these current initiatives as a starting point, in order to frame discussion during the two day event. The Conference will provide an active learning experience using a highly participatory format.
