Professional Services Leadership Forum
The theme of the Forum is Building the sustainable university in a challenging global climate. Participants will benefit from the opportunity to explore common issues and challenges faced by senior managers in the administration of research-intensive universities; to consider strategies for talent development in university administration; and to share innovative approaches to succeeding in a global environment. We anticipate that the Forum will drive the development of new initiatives to consolidate administrative contacts within the network, such as a shared U21 administrative staff exchange.
The Forum will comprise of a series of panel sessions, breakout activities, case studies and networking opportunities. We would welcome contributions from colleagues on the following topics and invite you to submit a session proposal on the booking form below:
- Developing Effective Partnerships for Sustainable Futures
- Talent Development in University Administration
- Achieving Financial Effectiveness and Managing the Administrative Cost Base
- Disruptive Technologies, including MOOCs and Transnational Education
A welcome dinner will be held in Birmingham city centre on the evening of Sunday 13 October, with a networking reception and dinner held at the University of Birmingham on Monday 14 October and at the University of Nottingham on Tuesday 15 October.
Participants intending to travel on to the U21 Managers meeting in Amsterdam on 17—18 October have the option to fly out of either Birmingham International Airport or East Midlands airport.
