U21 Deans of Education meeting
All Deans of Education (or equivalent) from U21 universities are warmly invited to attend.
The meeting will start at 8am and run until noon, when the AERA Confernece begins. There will also be an opportunity for Deans to meet informally over dinner that evening.
Please make sure you include the U21 Deans of Education meeting in your travel plans.
U21 Deans of Education attendees would also be welcome to participate in the Forum for International Networking in Education on Friday 26 April in the afternoon (details below).
The feature item of the U21 Deans meeting will be a symposium titled Investigating Innovative Pre-Service Teacher Education in Australia, Scotland and the USA: Metaphors and Models. The symposium is intended to raise fundamental questions about the nature of teacher education and the premises on which teacher education programs are founded by juxtaposing reports from research studies into teacher pre-service education conducted in Australia, Scotland and the USA.
The agenda will also include the usual Deans' Roundtable to provide an opportunity to share recent developments.
Those interested in attending should contact Group Convenor David Clarke at the University of Melbourne to register their participation.
