Teaching & Learning Network Conference
In the 21st century, large, research-intensive universities are challenged to create a transformative educational environment that is informed and driven by research on how people learn, while at the same time delivering teaching and learning opportunities in the most efficient, cost-conscious manner possible.
This invitational conference will provide Provosts, Vice Presidents/Pro-Chancellors Academic and other senior leaders responsible for devising and overseeing implementation of institutional teaching and learning strategy at Universitas 21 member institutions with a unique, dialogue-focused opportunity to share experiences and explore research-informed practices that can be implemented at scale to improve learning outcomes. In a highly engaging, participatory format, attendees will investigate exemplars of institutional practice in the following areas:
- Effective and Efficient Curriculum Models
- Effective and Efficient Pedagogical Approaches
- Effective and Efficient Assessment Practices
- Effective and Efficient Educational Technology Implementation.
The U21 conference coincides with UBC’s annual 'Celebrate Learning', a week-long event that highlights and promotes student learning and development opportunities across the UBC Vancouver campus.
Conference delegates are welcome to come early to the Vancouver campus and participate in the diverse talks, workshops and other experiences representing UBC’s unique multi-disciplinary and inter-cultural environment. Further details will be available later in the year - follow the link below.
Attendance is by invitation only.
Those invited should complete and return the supporting form (available for download below) and the nomination of the additional colleagues from your university who will attend with you at your earliest opportunity.
