U21 ebooks
in the Humanities & Social Sciences

Universitas 21, in collaboration with Melbourne University Publishing, will be publishing a series of high-profile electronic books that make innovative use of the medium.  Each book will be edited by Universitas 21 academics and will consist of between 6 and 8 essays on an international theme in the Humanities and Social Sciences (including Business, Education, and Law).

In July 2009 the series opened with Global Cities/Local Sites, edited by Will Straw (McGill) and Douglas Tallack (formerly of Nottingham), and will be followed by Modern Mobilities, edited by Andrew Dawson (Melbourne) and David Norris (Nottingham), and Borderless Health in the Digital Age, edited by Kendall Ho (British Columbia).

Proposals for future ebooks should be sent to the series editor, Professor Nick Hewitt, University of Nottingham (Nick.Hewitt@nottingham.ac.uk).

Professor Douglas Tallack, formerly of the University of Nottingham, is Consulting Series Editor for the project.

Global Cities/Local Sites costs AUS$50 (c.US$40 / c.£25) and is available for purchase at http://www.u21onlinebooks.com/  .  The ISBN-13 number is 978-0-522-85718-4.
