The services provided by universities for students to enhance their career and employability opportunities are central to the experience of our students. Students feel supported on their choices during their studies and have better tools to perform in the work environment as graduates. Because of this, the U21 Student Experience Cluster is supporting the development of a U21 Career and Employability Group within the U21 network. There is much we can learn from each other to better support our students.

At present, items for discussion among U21 Career and Employability Professionals include:

  • How a U21 Careers & Employability Group could benefit staff and ultimately the students with whom we work?
  • What opportunities for information sharing among Careers professionals exist within U21, which lead to staff development and better support for our students?
  • Is it possible to develop a U21 internship/work experience or similar project? What are the characteristics that will make this successful?
