The purpose of the conference is to allow undergraduate students from around the globe to showcase their research to an international audience of fellow students and academics. The conference aims to attract students from a diverse range of discipline and typically includes a range of seminars and student presentations interspersed with social activities and tours to promote networking and stimulate discussion. 2006, University of Queensland

URC 2006One of the great strengths of the 2005 Conference was the diversity of disciplines represented and the cross-fertilisation of ideas that took place.  At the 2006 Conference, which took place from 25-29 September 2006, the University of Queensland sought to attract an equivalent breadth of presentations by undergraduate student researchers, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their research to an international audience.  Additionally, UQ introduced the opportunity for staff (faculty) to engage with U21 colleagues on topical undergraduate learning, teaching and research issues, and to establish professional networks.
