Each university has different grading and assessment techniques, as well as varied educational and didactic approaches.

Hong Kong
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is committed to providing quality teaching and learning. It strives to promote whole-person education – classroom learning, student activities, overseas opportunities, internship, community service and academic research in a dynamic community.

Founded in 1911, HKU is the oldest tertiary institution in Hong Kong with a student population of more than 20,000 at undergraduate and graduate levels.

HKU is consistently ranked among the best universities in Asia and the world.

The medium of teaching is English.

HKU has academic links with more than 400 overseas universities and plays host to over 3,300 international students. The University is committed to cultivating internationalism on campus and to supporting staff and student mobility projects and international programmes at all levels.

About 45% of academic staff members are drawn from overseas. Over 90% of teachers have PhD and/or higher professional qualifications excelling in research.
