Why U21?

  • U21 universities are recognised amongst the leading research intensive universities  in the world

  • Each university recognises each others’ courses and this eases credit transfer

  • U21 universities collaborate on a number of different projects in addition to student exchange and these all contribute to strong collegial relations and trust between members

  • As a U21 exchange student you may be eligible to receive a special U21 scholarship from your home university

  • U21 student mobility programmes encourage and develop a flexible approach to learning and working and makes excellent preparation for employment or further study

  • The U21 experience allows you to become immersed in another culture; make new friends; develop skills which will contribute to your employability and possibly improve your knowledge of another language

  • You will acquire life skills which cannot be taught and the overall educational advantages of studying your subject at an overseas U21 university will enhance your employability
